Where have the angels gone??

 

Silently I stand, tears as rain, do fall from my eyes

broken hearted, cries of loss, pain knowing no end

empty arms, to hug you once, hang by my sides

laughter once flowing, now quiet shall be

 

Shattered dreams, a future gone, lonliness for me

but a second in time, for that, do I pray

now memories left, photos, words I wanted to say

only the wind shall hear my voice now

 

where once light shone so brightly,shadows sat silent witness to life

quiet, empty, is my world now, great parts of me have died

endless questions fill my head  for answers I never will know

long and heart wrenching comes my only cry

 

Oh spirit, hear my hope filled prayer, please

only you truely know where have the angels gone?

hug my friends dear spirit, and tell them I love them eternal

and I turn and walk away, from my friends fresh graves
