Do  you remember, TEDDY ??

I was gaven a carebear for xmas and it brought back memories of writing this story

I remember you, my little teddy bear, lol, many years we shared together and many memories do we know.

And now, I sit here on the porch, hugging ya still, a bit battered and worn you are, but hey, you are still my friend,

Remember when I first learnt to ride my bike, loll, white in the face and really nervous and dad was there, holding on so I didn’t fall off and hurt myself, my first bike, it was so cool and I was so proud of it.

It was a bright green bike and shiny too, teddy, with black tyres, and a black seat and my feet could only just reach the ground, I sat so tall, teddy, and dad was so proud of me, cos I never fell, teddy, I didn’t, I rode my bike for the first time and I rode it well, and dad hugged me tight

Lol, aye, teddy, I was so proud of dad and me.

Hey, teddy, remember when I did the painting in school and the teacher was so happy with it that she put it up on the wall so the whole room could see, and my name was on it, teddy, I was only young and the teachers was impressed with me and it felt good, teddy.

Teddy, I can still see the stain on you from when we shared our first ice-cream, and I would take a bite and then give you a bite, teddy, raspberry ripple and chocolate, teddy, and remember how it melted all over me and you and mum saw us and smiled cos we were having so much fun, teddy, lol, we were sitting on the old log and I was telling you about the fairies in the garden, teddy, remember? The ones, with the colourful wings that would sparkle in the sunlight and how they would play with you and me in the garden, teddy.

We would play for hours in the garden, just you, me and the fairies, teddy, and we would drink the sunlight and eat the rainbows, teddy, and mum and dad would smile and

Laugh cos remember teddy, they would think that I was just playing games, but the fairies are still there, teddy

Cos I can see them still, and we still play games too

Gotta hug ya teddy cos you remember too, teddy

Hey, teddy remember when I went to high school and met the kids and how they were mean to me, and they would make fun of me and then we all became friends, teddy?

Frank with the glasses, and john who was dyslexic and Murray who was deaf, teddy, and there was Anne who was real brainy, and Karen and kassie, the twins, lol

Remember how we could see the colours around ppl, teddy

The bright colours and the glow.

And we could see the things about people that they never said, teddy. Remember old Mrs Murphy?

Lol, we would call her the old witch and laugh at her, teddy and one day, she said to me” do you know the true meaning of witchcraft”? And I learnt how to hear the voice of nature and the magic secrets of nature, teddy.

And Mrs Murphy taught us to respect every part of nature

Cos we live in nature and nature is so beautiful

Teddy do you remember how she sewed you up with magic and love, teddy, and she would take us to church on Sundays, and we would sit with her at the front of the church cos we were so proud to be us, teddy.

And, teddy, we would sing louder then everybody cos we loved being happy, teddy. Oh teddy, remember when the pastor asked me to talk about love in front of the whole church, teddy and I got up there and spluttered and choked and got tongue tied, til mrs Murphy stood up and walked over to me and hugged me and smiled and I just let it flow out in words, teddy, and everybody was so happy.

Hang on teddy, I gotta move, cos I'm hurting a lot, teddy

Ahh, that's better, teddy, come on puss in boots, yes you

Curl up on my lap and go to sleep while me and teddy share our memories.

Hey, teddy, remember how when I played rugby, you were the team mascot and you came to all the matches with us, teddy, and you sat with the girls and cheered us on as we won and lost games and had fun, teddy, lol

And Shawnee would hold you up so we could see ya, teddy

Shawnee loved you and me, teddy, and I loved her, cos she was my girlfriend, you and me and her would go on dates

Cos Shawnee and I would never leave ya behind, teddy, you were too special to us, teddy.

Lol, I remember when me and Shawnee got engaged, teddy, I had a job, loading truck and she worked in a kitchen at the local restaurant, teddy, boy she could cook well

And we would get home, and spend hours talking about the people that we could see around us and how they were talking to us, teddy, and they were from all over the world and from many different times, teddy, and they were so cool, cos they would tell us things and help us so much.

Teddy, remember how Shawnee could heal people and she was so well liked, teddy, cos she was so positive, teddy

I miss her so much, teddy, we were so close and she loved us both so much, teddy.

Remember when we got married, teddy, and you were at

The church and sitting in the best mans arms with the rings, teddy, it is so cool. You were holding the rings and when the minister said you may kiss the bride, we kissed each other and you got a kiss too, teddy

And we were so happy together; teddy and we loved each other so much, teddy.

Many happy years Shawnee and me shared with you, teddy, and the love grew every day, with us.

We brought a car and had a special seat made just for you, teddy, and we would go to the beach and to the park and all over the place, teddy, going camping and to parties and you were always there, teddy.

Excuse, me teddy, but this old man has to go to the outhouse, and I'm gonna make a brew and a snack, so I will be back soon and we can carry on remembering, teddy.

I’m back, teddy, sorry for taking so long but my bones and old and the arthritis in making it hard to move fast, teddy,

sorry, teddy but my chest feels funny, teddy, kinda tight and it hurts a bit, teddy.

Hey, teddy, I can see the fairies around us, and there is Shawnee too, teddy, hey Shawnee, Hun, you came back, and you have a angel with you too, Hun.

Hey teddy, look, all the colours of the rainbow are around us, teddy, and all our old friends have come, teddy.

Shawnee? You have come to take me home? Home with the angels, oh Shawnee, I love ya so heaps.

Can I take teddy too cos teddy is our friend too.

Thank you so much, Shawnee, come on teddy, we are going with Shawnee and the angel, and the fairies too.

Teddy we are going home, teddy, with all our friends and memories.

Look at the light, teddy, it is so bright and warm, teddy

And can you see the animals, teddy? The Pegasus and the unicorn and hey look at the flower children, teddy.

Oh, teddy you are glowing and you are so clean and you look brand new again, oh teddy, my friend

Teddy, Shawnee and me are holding hands, teddy and you are coming too, the angel is holding us and we are flying now, teddy, up in to the light with all of our friends, teddy
