TO GAIN PROPHECIES
BEST TIME: Waxing Moon
Fill the cauldron half-full of water and place it on a table where you can see
comfortably into it while seated.
Light 2 purple candles and a good divination incense; a combination of mugwort
and wormwood work well.
Arrange the candles so their light
does not shine into the water in your eyes.
Focus your attention on the bottom
of the cauldron, your hands placed lightly on either side.
Breathe gently into the water and
say:
Cauldron, reveal to me that which I seek
Great Mother, open my inner eye that I may truly see.
Empty your mind as much as possible; remian relaxed while looking deep into
the cauldron waters.
The answer may come in images in the
water, picture in your mind and strong bursts of "knowing".
CANDLE SCRYING SPELL
It takes time to master, but it can be done. First you need a black bowl or a
cauldron is fine.
Fill the bowl with pure water.
Light a white candle and concentrate on a specific question.
Let the beads of wax fall into the water. Do this for as long as you like.
When you are finished, remove the candle and interpret the formations of
the beads of wax.
This procedure is best done with two people.
One who wants to know the answer to his question and one to
interpret.
( If doing it with two people, the questioner will hold the candle
and ask his question silently.)

Tool Consecration
This ritual is designed for an athame or a chalice, but can be
adapted for any altar tool
Tools
Incense (east)
White candle (south)
Small bowl of water (west)
Small bowl of salt or earth (north)
Cast the Circle
Before these spirits, I bring this (tool) to be dedicated to the service
of the Lady and the Lord.
Pass the tool three times through the smoke of the incense, saying:
By power of air, be purified.
Be dedicated to purity, that all goals you help acheive may harm none
and be for the good of all.
Pass the tool three times through the flame of the candle, saying:
By power of fire, be purified
Be dedicated to desire, that all goals you help achieve may harm none
and be for the good of all.
Sprinkle a few drops of water on the instrument, saying:
By power of water, be purified
Be dedicated to emotion, that you be used in a spirit of harmony,
harming none and for the good of all.
Touch the instrument to the earth or salt, saying:
By power of earth, be purified.
Be dedicated to steadfastness, that my will be acheived without wavering
with harm to none and for good of all.
Presentation to the Lord and Lady
If this is a chalice, present it first to the Lady, then to the Lord.
If it is an athame, reverse the order.
All other instruments, use
your
own preference, but it is a courtesy to present to Her first.
Presentation of a Chalice
Lady, bless this chalice, let it be a vessel of productivity that may
be worthy to reside in circle with you. Let it be so bound that no harm
may come of it to any being.
To thy service, I dedicate this vessel, that it and I may be long of
service to thee.
Lord, bless this chalice and keep watch over it. Guard the works which
come forth from it, that they harm none and be ever in the service of thee
and thy Lady.
To thee I vow that I shall use it for her sacred purposes and none other.
So Mote It Be
Presentation of an Athame
Great Lord, bless this athame. Let it be pure for thy service and bind it
so that no harm may come of it to any being.
Lord, bless this athame, that it be used always in the worship and honour
of the Gods.
Lady, bless this athame, that it may bring forth joy and purity, and shall
cause no harm to any being.
I dedicate this athame to thy service, Great One.
So Mote It Be.
Altar Devotion
Held prior to circle casting
Breathe deeply, ground and center.
Raise hands in Goddess position (spread in a V over your head
feet apart), then slowly lower them and cross them into the God
position (arms crossed over your chest, feet together)
feeling the power coursing down your arms throughout your body.
Light an illuminator candle.
Light the incense at the East, clap hands over the flame to extinguish
"Creature of Air
I cleanse and consecrate thee
to remove all negativity in this world
So mote it be"
Pass your hand over the incense three times to banish all negativity,
imagine a sparkling light around the incense
Light the candle at the South
"O creature of Fire
I cleanse and consecrate thee
to remove all negativity in this world
So mote it be"
Pass your hand over the flame three times, as above
Do the same for West and North, with water and a bowl of salt, respectively
Beginning North, move your hands over the altar five times, mixing
the powers of the elementals. Tap the hilt of the knife on the altar
at your right five times to seal.
Your altar is prepared. You are now ready to cast the circle and begin
workings of magic
Ritual Bath
The purpose of a ritual bath is
to cleanse Yourself, from the inside and out, of negative energies and prepare
your Physical, Mental and Spiritual Self for Circle. A ritual bath is a rite
in and of itself. The rite is ideally done just prior to Circle, but this is
not always the case. [An example of such is if you have to travel to the
meeting place.] After the rite is completed and you must travel to another
place for Circle, try to keep your mind in a Spiritual frame as this will aid
you in Circle.
The bath water should be infused with salts, herbs oils and colors that are
harmonious with the work to be done in Circle. To prepare for the bath:
Select the Herbs, [it is best to have your herbs in a satchel for easier
clean-up] oils and salts [of the same color as the candle] that you will be
using.
Have a censer and charcoal block ready to burn a corresponding incense on.
Anoint a candle of appropriate color [Possibly using the same oil as you are
using in the bath water.] If you have a shrine set up in your bathroom, there
should be a Goddess and God candle present.
Have some Rite Water ready. [Rite Water is made from: 1/3 sea-water
{river-water with sea-salt added will do if sea-water is unavailable}; 1/3
river-water; 1/3 spring-water {store bought is OK}.]
Have a tape recorder with meditation music in the bathroom with you, as its
aid to visualization and meditation is invaluable. [Be cautious to have the
tape recorder far away from any water and DO NOT TOUCH IT WHILE YOU ARE STILL
WET.]
A glass of wine is also needed for consumption upon completion of the rite.
And your libation dish for the libation to the God and Goddess.
TO BEGIN, turn out the lights and light the candle(s) and incense, turn on
tape, fill the tub with warm water and add herbs, oils, salts and a cup or so
of Rite Water. With your Athame draw and visulize a Water or Banishing
Pentagram over the bath water. All of these tools represent the four Elements;
Air/the incense and the scents from the bath, Fire/the heat of the bath,
Water/the bath and Rite Water and, Earth/the herbs and oils.
Lower yourself into the water and visualize it cleansing you of all
negativity. Know that these energies are flowing from your Physical, Mental
and Spiritual Self into the water. Relax and enjoy the warmth of the water,
the scents in the air and the feeling of being cleansed of all negativity, let
yourself drift. Now concentrate and visualize on the purpose of the coming
ritual and know that you are truly prepared. When you feel you are ready, pull
the plug and stay in the tub until all the water has drained. As the water is
draining visualize and know that the negative energies that are now in the
water are going into the Earth and are grounded.
Rise up out of the tub and do a Self Blessing like the following:
Anoint each area while saying aloud:
Blessed be my Mind, that learns of Your ways [anointing your forehead]
Blessed be my eyes, that have seen this day.
Blessed be my lips, That utter Your names and keep Your secrets.
Blessed be my breast(s), formed in strength (Beauty).
Blessed be the phallus (Womb), For without which I would not be.
Blessed be my knees, that shall kneel at thy Sacred Altar.
Blessed be my feet, that have brought me in these ways.
Pour a libation to the Gods and drink the wine. When dried, robe, clean-up the
bathroom and take the libation outside to return it to the Earth. The rite is
ended.
SO MOTE IT BE
