A Simple Quartz & Candle Spell

Choose the appropriate color candle and with your athame, carve a symbol representing your magickal goal, focusing on that goal while enscribing the candle. Charge a quartz crystal with the same goal and place next to the candle and put both by your bed. Every night, light the candle and meditate, focusing on the intended outcome. Repeat this ritual every night, for 7 days, or until your goal is reached.

Attracting a New Friend

During the waxing phase of the moon, light 3 brown candles. On a sheet of paper, write down the attributes you want this new friend to have. Speak each one out loud. When you are done, fold the paper in half twice. Light the edge of the folded paper with one of the candles and repeat this incantation:

With heart and mind I do now speak

Bring to me the one I seek.

Let this paper be the guide

And bring this friend to my side.

Pain and lonliness be no more

Draw a compatriot to my door.

With pleasures many and sorrows few

Let us build a friendship new.

Let not this simple spell coerce

Or make my situation worse.

As I will it, it shall be.

Let the paper burn out then snuff the candles. Within the next few weeks, you should meet someone with some or all of the qualities you seek.

Banishing Spell

.Get four small pieces of paper and on each piece write the person's name or the name of whatever it is you need to banish. On the opposite side draw a pentacle. Carve the same word and the pentacle on a black candle also. Do what you would normally do as far as visualizing this thing or person being drawn away from you and ask your angels for help also. Light the candle. Take the four pieces of paper and burn one, saying, "I banish ______ with the power of fire. So mote it be." Bury one in some dirt, saying, "I banish ______ with the power of Earth. So mote it be." Flush one down the toilet, saying, I banish ______ with the power of Water. So mote it be." Then tear one into little pieces and throw it out your window, saying, "I banish ______ with the power of Wind. So mote it be." Let your black candle burn down.

Note: It is really best to use VERY small pieces of paper, because you are going to be littering, after all. Also, if you prefer to work outside, you can obviously use a stream instead of your toilet. It really doesn't matter how you do this, but it IS important that your intention be clear. The only time this did not work for me is when I tried to banish someone very important to me that I should not have been banishing in the first place. I put my candle out halfway through because I had reconsidered. He is still living with me now. Oh well, maybe next time...;)

Magick Mirror Beauty Spell

You will need 1 small, handheld mirror, 3 candles, rose oil, patchouli incense and a little privacy.

Select one color for the strongest effect, or mix and match to get a bit of each:

Red if you are going for sex appeal

Silver if you want to be the center of attention and display star-quality charisma

Orange if you are going for general attractiveness and likability.

On a night when the moon is full, find a secluded outdoor spot. Light your incense and your three candles. Disrobe and annoint the parts of your body you would like to change with the rose oil. For example, if you think your feet are too big, annoint the tops of each foot. If you are going for an all over make-over, then annoint your forehead, your breast bone, the center of your belly, each wrist and behind each knee. Pass the mirror through the smoke of the incense, then raise it over your head, reflective surface facing the moon.

Recite:

Wood and Wind, Ember and Mist

Grant your blessed child's wish

Sacred Mother charge this mirror

Let your light make beauty clearer

Wrap it in your gentle glow

So that tis all it ever shows.

Lower the mirror and gaze into it. Visualize the way you wish to look, and how you want others to see and react to you. Repeat the following:

As a blossom in your glade

Let my beauty never fade.

Now, use the mirror's reflective surface to shine the moonlight on the place(s) you would like to make more pleasing to the eye. When you are done, wrap the mirror in a dark cloth and keep it safe. If the mirror is ever broken, so also will be the spell. Snuff the candles, dress and let the incense burn out.

For an extra boost, like before a big date, business meeting or audition, annoint yourself again with rose oil and spend 10 minutes gazing into the mirror. While doing so, focus on the things you find attractive about yourself and the things you want others to see when they look at you.

Charging an Item

After you have conscreated a tool or item, you should charge it.

Hold the item above your head. Take a moment to feel the swirls of energy around you. You should be able to feel them tug at you like a current in a river.

In a clear voice, say:

Let the sacred powers of the universe unite and fill this (item name) with energy. By the Moon, the Sun, the Earth and the Stars I charge this (item name) to do my will. So Mote it Be! Close your eyes and envision an energy bolt striking the item and causing it to glow. You should feel a subtle vibration while you hold the item.

Your tool is now charged.

Conscreating an Item

My preferred method is as follows: light some incense, preferrably myrrh or patchouli and a white candle. You will also need a bowl of water and one of salt. Take the item, cover it with salt, place your right hand over the bowl (unless your lefthanded, then use your left) and envision a white light leaving your palm and passing through the bowl, washing away all negative energies. Then say:

Blessed Lord and Lady, with salt and smoke I conscreate this tool in your name. Let it serve me well. Remove the item from the salt, shaking off the salt as you do so, then pass it through the incense smoke, sprinkle it with water, then pass it through the candle flame. Your item is now conscreated.
